Let's Start The New Year Off Right!

Welcome to the Comfort Zone Correction Challenge! You are about to take your first step out of your Comfort Zone! Get ready because success is about to meet you on the other side of these few days! 

We’re doing things a bit different and you’re going to go at your own pace!

No need to do all these challenges in a row or even in this order. What’s important is that you take that first step forward and START!

Once you download the Kindle, you can do a challenge every week or every month or really challenge yourself and do them all in the same week! 

IT’S ALL UP TO YOU BUT EITHER WAY …

Challenge #1 starts NOW!

Today is the first day of our challenge, so we are going to start off easy.

This challenge only requires an extra fifteen minutes from your day.

You can either add fifteen minutes to the beginning of your day or tack it on at the end.

The idea is to do something different during those extra minutes to add value to your day and your life! 

Maybe it’s that 15 minute push to run an extra mile at the gym, or closing your business 15 minutes later than usual to see if one more customer walks in, or waking up 15 minutes early to read and learn something new.

In our Chapter “Fifteen Minutes to $5,000,” we talk about how Mr. Brown was able to make an extra $5,000 just by staying open later than his competition. In fact, he asks for $5,000 from someone walking through the aisle on their way out of the buying hall – and the person was so amused by the question he actually gave it to him

Do you feel like you’ve fully accomplished Challenge #1?

Then time to move on to Challenge #2!

Think of 3 reasons why they should choose you over your competition.

Maybe it’s what you offer on your resume extra to get that new job, or what you can do that will make your relationship deepen, or what you offer extra that will help you to grow your business or level up.

How do you or how can you add value?

How are you different and unique from others? 

Why should they choose you?

What are your past accomplishments that make you a valuable asset?

Do you feel like you’ve fully accomplished Challenge #2?

Time to move on to our third challenge!

In the last challenge, we talked about what value you offer – but – it’s also very important in both your personal life, as well as your professional life, to let people know you value their time.

Using phrases like “Please allow me to” instead of being like “wait or sec,” let’s them know you respect their time. Do not underestimate the power of a simple phrase! 

For example, you may say to a customer, “Please allow me to find the answer for you and give you a call back.”

In your social life, you may say to a friend “Please allow me to pick up this tab.” 

In your private life, you may say “Please allow me to clean the bathroom this week.”

Think about if the roles were reversed, wouldn’t you be more willing to allow what was being asked if they phrased it like this? 

Maybe these exact words don’t sound like you, so feel free to make them your own!

Think about what’s your slogan or a simple phrase that will show those around you that you respect them and their time?

This day is the most important day of the Challenge!

You’ve done a great job and we are SO PROUD of you!

Today is all about keeping the momentum going! Now that you have found a mentor like Mr. Brown, you know the kind of qualities you should look for in your next mentor.

You want to find someone who will guide you so that you do not make the same mistakes they made in their career.

You want to follow similar rules that will keep you always moving forward.

You want to learn from their method so that you can start paving your own path to success!

We are lucky to live in an age where there are a number of mentor’s everywhere!

You can find them on social media, Youtube, or even just Google!

Think of ways you want to grow and evolve this year and find 5 more mentors that will help you to reach those goals!

In our Chapter “Rules Are Made For Some Reason,” see why it’s important to always operate under a set of rules that will guide you through any situation that may arise.

We all know Change is Uncomfortable!

BUT

that is the whole reason we are doing this challenge!

Quitting a challenging situation without putting in effort is the easy way out!

Learn from Chapter 18 “Harness The Power Of Fear,” how Mr. Brown navigated himself through the 2008 financial crisis. He added over 100 new clients not by luck or coincidence, but by carefully planned actions and strategies.

Today, think of things that you are scared of. Maybe it’s the fear of too much success, fear of the unknown, fear of money issues, or fear of failure.

( You’re not alone! When I did a poll on LinkedIn, 50% were scared of too much potential success! )

It’s time to find a way to conquer your fears today and just start walking beside your fears, step by step!

Fear is a great motivator when you run together instead of running away.

Surprises surprisingly help to foster growth!

In Chapter 10  “The Most Expensive Breakfast I Ever Had,” read how Mr. Brown suprirsed his client with breakfast.

With this one simple gesture, his trust and loyalty was won, not once, but twice! 

Think about what you can do to surprise someone today. Maybe it’s a colleague, maybe it’s a client, maybe it’s a spouse or significant other. 

What can you do today to make sure they know they are valuable? Or, what can you do to get yourself that introduction to that target you’ve had your eye on?
