This website is an easy to use directory that makes it simple for frequent travelers to find businesses around airports. You can also track your flight while you explore!
When you go to airports, often we assume the airport is miles and miles away from everything. Often, this isn’t the case!
Take for example Miami. Did you know that the airport is all of 8 miles away from Downtown Miami? If you had a long layover, you could easily get out and explore for an hour or two! You could use this site to plan in advance or even to plan on the spot. Maybe you want to stop in town and see the city to have a bite to eat instead of eating in the airport. Ubers are everywhere now-a-days so a quick trip out of the airport is easier than ever.
On the flip side, maybe you’re at a smaller airport farther away from the city. There’s still businesses, bars, and restaurants you can hang out at! (Especially if you already checked your bag and don’t have to lug it around.)
The coolest part of this site, is that they do all the thinking for you. Have you ever been on google maps and just start entering random words like “food” or “bar?” Here, they have everything organized already for you. Bars, atms, coffee shops, gas stations, bus stops, car rentals, etc.
With aroundairports.com you can search a directory by airport or they also have an option to track the airports involved in your flight for you by entering your airline and flight info. All the information is there right in front of you, right at your fingertips.
I often find the cheapest last minute flight prices thanks to skiplagged.com! I’ve even found flights as low as $30 each away! They expose inefficiencies in airline pricing, such as a hidden layover city, to find you deals you can’t get anywhere else.
Have you ever had a family emergency or a last minute wedding invite? This is the site for you!
They make last minute flights extra cheap by… charging you for half the trip. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s real!
For example, if I wanted to fly from Cleveland to New York City last minute, I could take part of a trip from Cleveland to New York City (“hidden city” layover) to Miami. I would take the trip from Cleveland to New York City, and then just alert the crew I would not be boarding for the connecting flight. If it’s a long layover before the Miami flight, you can just leave and not tell anyone. The airline will just assume you missed your flight.
They also offer cheap round trip flights by exposing other layover opportunities, but it may not be convenient. (For Example, instead of having the usual 2 hour direct flight, it may turn into an 8 hour flight with two layovers.) I’ve done this before and if you like flying it’s not that bad! I would take an overnight flight where I leave around 11pm and arrive at 7am. I love sleeping on planes so it was no issue for me and I saved over $500 doing it this way so it was worth it.
When you skip a stop, this site is to be used only when you have a really low budget or if it’s an emergency! Make sure to use different airlines if you skip a stop more than once a year. Do not do it often or you will get flagged by the airline. (For example, if I did this every time I flew Delta and never got on my connecting flight, they would flag me as suspicious activity and I could get banned from flying with Delta.)
No, I won’t stop talking about this site! I know, you’re probably tired of me talking about it, but this site is amazing for travelers! It’s so confusing with everything constantly changing with Coronavirus and this site puts all the things you need to travel all in one place!
Do you need to quarantine? Do you need a Covid test? All these questions are answered right here.
Did you know States are still having their own restrictions? Every State is different! Look it up here via airport codes and see what you will need and what restrictions are in place to wherever you are thinking to fly before you go and instead of finding out at the airport that there is still a curfew or bars are still closed!
It’s also interesting to see on www.apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions what is going on in other countries! My friend lives in Amsterdam and as of today they are still in lock down! Even though we are slowly reopening in the USA, lots of things are still in bad shape in other countries! This site tells you everything!
- Google This... "Google Airport Wifi"
- Google This... "Google Airport Wifi"
This site is always changing its URL but if you google “Google Aiprort WiFi” you will get all of the WiFi passwords for the airport you are in! I’m serious!
It has the latest passwords for airport lounges, general sign ins, and for most airlines! Keep in mind passwords change often.
Never pay for WiFi access again! (Remember when using public WiFi to be careful what you sign in to, because you are on a Public WiFi not your personal one!)
You may have heard of The Point’s Guy, but have you heard of Monkey Miles? Even though things are still in a state of reopening, it’s worth it to plan ahead for future travel!
This is a page run by travel hacker Zachary Abel. He has some great travel tips, as well as, some great ways to handle your credit cards so that you make them work for you!
Some of his latest posts and articles include: how to travel hack vacations so that you get 5-Star experiences on a budget this Thanksgiving and New Years, what credit cards are best for travelers, how to travel the world with $5,000, and how to hack business class trips!

Here’s some extra websites that always come in handy for me that you probably already know about.
- Tripadvisor.com is always a go-to before I book a trip. A place can have the prettiest pictures you’ve ever seen, but you don’t realize they were taken 5 years ago! Here, you get to see the latest pictures and reviews from people that have been there within the last year. You actually can’t post about a property unless you have been there recently (within the last year.) Click Here for my Tripadvisor Reviews.
- Kayak.com is usually what I book through, unless I’m using points. I like that you can search a good number of search engines all at the same time through this site, instead of going to each separate site. If you are booking for something in the future, sign up for their price-watch email and they will email you every time the price drops!
Whenever you use a price search site online, remember that they all use cookies to track your interest, so make sure you clear your cookies after each search so they don’t keep bumping up the price on you.
I hope these sites help you guys out in your upcoming adventures! Which one do you think you will use the most?
