Did you know you can get comped rooms just by signing up online for a rewards card at some casinos? You don’t even have to spend a dime!
Rewards cards will reward you just for being loyal and signing up for their email offers! Players cards are the best so keep reading to learn all the fun things they have to offer as a membership perk!
FYI : This page includes affiliate links, which means I might get a commission from your purchase at no extra cost to you. Consider me your Las Vegas Rewards Cards 101 Instructor for the day.
The basis for rewards cards, is to collect points by spending your money in the casino.
Now, you may think, but Emily, I don’t want to gamble…
Well, that’s fine! You can use your card to get discounts throughout the casino. And, anytime you spend money in the casino, you collect points from paying for your room, your resort fees, your drinks, shopping, your Starbucks and basically any time you pay for ANYTHING in the casino.
The higher the tier you get, the more perks you can get like Free airport transportation, Free flights, Free nightclub or buffet entries, Freeplay to gamble with, and the list goes on and on.
Here’s an example of The Wynn’s current rewards…
As you see, The Wynn offers free golf rounds, but I don’t really care about golf because I don’t play. But, with something like Caesars Rewards, they give you comped room (or close to comped budget rates – here’s an article comparing them here) email offers almost immediately regardless of your tier. So I would choose to spend my money at those casinos so that I rise in tier more quickly to get more comps or my resort fees waived.
Another factor to consider, is to see how their point systems work. For The Wynn you get 1 point for every $5 spent where at Caesars you get 5 points per $1 spent. These points all add up quickly so when you find rewards you would like to achieve, I suggest trying to spend your money or gamble at those casinos for the majority of your trip.
That being said, if you aren’t gambling or shopping much, sign up for all of the rewards cards so that you get those percentage off discounts for food, drinks, and souvenirs! And if you are gambling a lot, you can probably secure Free rooms at any casino by using their rewards cards!
Casinos also offer perks like tier credit multiplier days ( Ex: every $1 may get multiplied by 30x for example ), holiday gift giveaways for every member ( Ex: Santa’s gift bag of goodies ), and Free giveaways ( Ex: Spring Free grill drawings or invitations to pick up a Free grill cleaning kit or accessories )
1) How much will you be gambling?
If you plan to play table games where you rack points quickly, stick to gambling at the casinos in the same chain or at the casino you want to stay at next time you are in Las Vegas or around the world.
2) Do you want to travel to other casino chain locations?
I live in Ohio and there are multiple Caesars and MGM locations so I know I’ll be able to gain points throughout the year and not just when I’m in Vegas.
3) Which perks or experience do you want the most?
Do you just want somewhere to sleep Or do you care about the room’s aesthetic and experience? Las Vegas has budget rooms but also has luxurious rooms or even rooms with kitchenettes!
It may seem like you can really get a lot of things for Free for going to Las Vegas one time… and you can… BUT those points expire yearly! So make sure you take advantage of whatever points you got while you were there.
You can redeem your points towards your stay. You can use them to buy your Starbucks or souvenirs. You can even redeem your points for Freeplay to try your luck at gambling.
The Rewards Desk if your best friend! They are the home to show hook ups, coupons, and they may even comp your current stay in thanks for your loyalty! And, if you want to learn how to play any games, you can ask the Rewards Desk because a lot of casinos often have free table play lessons!
You also can earn FREE points by playing games at home!
Different companies are affiliated with different awards cards and there’s also Free casino games like blackjack, slots, and poker that you can play on your phone. In the games you can earn the same perks as you can while you spend money in the casino like Free shows, buffets, comped rooms, and even cruises!
